ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHAPTER

APT's Rocky Mountain Chapter, established in 2004, serves Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and parts of New Mexico. In the short time since its formation the chapter has organized several events, including its first annual meeting; a rising-damp case-study seminar at the Richards Hart Estate in Wheat Ridge, Colorado; a tour of the Romero House in Fort Collins, Colorado; and field trips to two historic ranches in Estes Park, Colorado, to compare rehabilitation techniques. Highlights from 2005 include a tour of a quarry in Colorado Springs and another of the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. The Rocky Mountain Chapter also helped organize several seminars affiliated with the Colorado Preservation Inc. conference in Denver in February 2005, where the chapter also held its first annual cocktail party.

We have several upcoming events for 2007:

  • Chapter's annual meeting in Denver on April 17, 2007
  • Student poster competition for a scholarship to the 2007 APTI conference
  • Preservation techniques for stone grave markers in Boulder May 2007
  • Sustainability and historic preservation workshop in Denver June 2007

Membership dues are $25 a year. See our Membership brochure. (PDF)
