Weather / Dress in
Portland
The sea tempers Maine’s climate, making
for cool summer and autumn breezes. Average temperatures during the
day in September are in the 60s/70s with evening lows being in the
50s. The dress is typically casual and you should plan to dress in
layers if you are going to be out for the day and evening. Plan on
bringing something warm to wear if you are going sailing or
attending the lobster bake. A heavy sweater is usually sufficient,
and a windbreaker is recommended for sailing. |
