Introduction to the Building Arts for Historic Preservationists Field SchoolDate: May 22 - June 16, 2017
Salve Regina University and American College of the Building Arts are proud to announce their 2017 Field School in the Building Arts, offered in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina in the newly renovated ACBA building.
The four-week program is offered in Charleston May 22-June 16th and it titled "introduction to the building arts for historic preservationists." It included material science lecture, site visits, and hands-on opportunities in masonry, plaster, finish carpentry, timber framing, iron, and stone carving. The program is designed to expose preservation students and professionals to historic trade practices, to enhance their understanding of historic materials and craftsmanship they encounter in the field. Salve is offering three credits for the program.
