When will online registration begin?
Online registration will open in May. We will notify APT members via email blast.

What are the registration deadlines?

Early registration ends at midnight, July 31
Standard registration ends at midnight, September 30
Late registration begins October 1

Who qualifies as a guest?
A guest is someone who accompanies you to enjoy the visit to San Antonio, not to participate in conference sessions nor earn continuing education hours. 

What does a guest registrant get?
Admission to the Exhibit Gala, access to refreshment breaks, plus the opportunity to purchase tickets for special events and field sessions.

I’m a sponsor, how do I register?

When registration opens in May, sponsors will receive a registration code by APT. This will guarantee that you are registered at the complimentary or discounted rate promised.

I’m a speaker/session chair, how do I register?

Speakers and Session Chairs will receive a registration code from APT. This will guarantee that you are registered at the discounted rate promised.

What if I have to cancel my registration?

If you cancel through August 28, APT will refund all but $25
If you cancel August 29 – September 25, APT will refund all but $100
If you cancel after September 25, APT will refund only $100

May I transfer my registration to someone else in the event I cannot attend?

Yes. You can modify your registration online, including changing the name of the registrant, affiliation, etc. Retain your confirmation email for directions to make modifications.

Is there a group discount?

No group discount is available. 

What meals are provided?

Your full Conference registration includes:
Dinner at the Exhibit Gala
Continental breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Full day field session and workshop attendee registrations include continental breakfast and lunch on each day they meet.

Financial Assistance

Does APT offer scholarships to attend the Conference?
APT does not have scholarship funds for Conference attendance.

Our host hotel is the Hilton Palacio del Rio, situated on the famous River Walk, and just steps away from The Alamo. APT has secured the special conference rateof $179 per night for single occupancy (additional guest is $25/night). Current tax is 6% state, 9% city and 1.75% county taxes. Rates will close October 8, 2016. Reservations made after this date may be subject to the prevailing hotel rates.

APT will provide a link to secure your reservations online by March 2016.

Continuing Education Hours

How do I apply for CEs?
Forms will be available onsite for AIA LUs, engineering PDHs and Canadian architect CEs.



Will you be providing a list of the conference attendees?
Yes. A list of Conference registrants will be posted online during the Conference and then updated post-Conference.

What is the dress code?

Business casual for most events, casual attire for workshops, and casual attire with good walking shoes for field sessions.

What will the weather be like late October/early November?

The month of October is characterized by rapidly falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs decreasing from 87°F to 77°F over the course of the month, exceeding 94°F or dropping below 66°F only one day in ten.
