APT Washington Chapter is pleased to announce the following event: APT DC is proud to host Kelly Caldwell, Director of Conservation and Senior Conservator at Evergreene Architectural Arts for a virtual presentation on the use of lasers in heritage conservation. EverGreene embraces the use of new technologies at varied project sites. Laser cleaning is a tool they frequently use to conserve significant architectural sites and objects, including the U.S. Capitol. Topics to be discussed include
About our presenter: Kelly received dual BA’s from University of North Carolina Greensboro in Archaeology and Anthropology. She continued on to University College London to receive her MA in Principles of Conservation and MSc in Conservation for Archaeology and Museums. Additionally, she completed several certifications for the use of lasers in conservation. Kelly is an active in member in several industry organizations including the American Institute of Conservation (AIC); Archaeological Institute of America (AIA); Canadian Association of Conservation (CAC/ACCR); Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC/ACRP)–Associate; and an accredited member of Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP/ACECP).
