All About ASTM C 1713

ASTM C 1713: Standard Specification for Mortars for the Repair of Historic Masonry, was introduced in 2010, and is the subject of the recently published Practice Point #21, Specifying Mortars Under ASTM C1713. As indicated in the scope statement for the standard, it “covers mortar for the repair of masonry that was constructed with methods and materials that pre-date the origination of current standards of construction that are compatible with it”

This TCM webinar will provide background on the development of the standard by its originator, including discussion of why the standard was developed, how it was intended to be used, and how it might be changed and improved going forward. To facilitate deeper, productive discussion about this relatively complex standard, we are inviting participants to submit questions in advance via this Google form.
