APT Building Technology Heritage Library
The APT Building Technology Heritage Library (BTHL) reached another milestone in March 2018 when the three millionth documents was viewed. This year there has been an uptick in regular users to more than 2,000 documents a day. The Internet Archive has also started to share data about the location of users and there has been a noteworthy increase in international users. The most US visitors come from the most populous states of California, New York, Ohio and Illinois. If you are an APT user, please be sure complete the online review and tells us why a particular document was useful.
The growth of the BTHL in content and viewers continues to show the value of this project as an APT initiative. From its small start in 2016, the online collection has grown to more than 9,500 documents showcasing a wide range of building materials, assemblies and technical data. Thanks again to our major sponsors, the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, Historic Preservation Education Foundation, Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training.
