College of Fellows Committees

The committees within the College of Fellows, and their leadership for 2025-26, are as follows:

Administrative Committee
John E. Dumsick, Chair
Timothy M. Crowe, Vice-Chair
Jill H. Gotthelf, Secretary
Justin M. Spivey, Liaison to APT Board

The College of Fellows (COF) Administrative Committee coordinates and facilitates communications with the APT Board and among COF members, including COF meetings and retreats.

Annual Lecture Committee
Kyle Normandin, Chair

The COF Annual Lecture Committee identifies, selects, and coordinates the College of Fellows Lecturer for the annual APT conference.

Archives Committee
Lonnie J. Hovey, Chair

The COF Archives Committee maintains all past COF records that contain information of enduring value, and advises on the organization and preservation of the records.

Conference Roundtable Committee
Rosa Lowinger, Chair

The Conference Roundtable is intended as a forum of forward-thinking, provocative conversations that push heritage professionals beyond our comfort zone. Our goal is to bring together voices from inside and outside APT to explore how preservation connects to the larger world--how it serves, questions, and strengthens the communities it touches. We're here to look outward, not inward, and to keep our field engaged with the issues that matter now.

The committee organizes the roundtable on a topic suitable to the mission.

Nomination and Induction Committee
Anne Weber, Chair

The COF Nomination and Induction Committee selects, installs, and onboards new members of the College of Fellows on an annual basis.

Student Scholar Mentoring Committee
Ilene R. Tyler, Chair

The COF Student Scholar Mentoring Committee coordinates the selection of College of Fellows mentors by APT Student Scholars giving presentations at the annual APT conference.
