The APT Technical Committee on Documentation (TC-Doc) is excited to announce a new dedicated program within the 2026 APT Poster Showcase: the Student Documentation Poster Showcase. We are looking for innovative student projects that explore new technologies and creative methodologies for documenting the built and natural environment. This showcase provides a formal, peer-reviewed platform for students to share their work with the international preservation community.
Submission Guidelines
- Focus: Projects should center on documenting a built or natural heritage site, with preference given to innovation and site significance.
- Documentation format: We welcome diverse documentation formats, including 2D/3D, digital, hand-drawn, audio/visual, or interactive media.
- Requirements: Submit a PDF including a poster title, author info (name, university, email), and a maximum 300-word abstract.
Final Deliverables & Conference Participation
Upon acceptance, students will be expected to complete the following:
- Physical Poster: Participants are responsible for printing and bringing their own physical posters (36” by 48”) to the conference venue.
- In-Person Presentation: Presenters must be available at their posters during a designated time slot to discuss their research and methodology with conference attendees.
- Funding and Logistics: While APT provides poster stands and a high-traffic display area, students are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and student-rate registration.
