This reprint includes The Universal Design Book, "illustrating mouldings, balusters, stair work, corner blocks, brackets, head blocks, spindles, base blocks, windows, doors, blinds, columns, frames, mantels, interior finish, mill work of every description, leaded art glass, wheel cut glass, window glass, venetian blinds, sliding blinds, grilles," the official price list adopted by the Wholesale Sash, Door, and Blind Manufacturers Association of the Northwest in 1903, and The Official Moulding Book adopted in 1897 and revised in 1901.

First published in 1904, this book of design elements was obviously used by lumber yards and craftsmen in both the United States and Canada at the turn of the century. The richness of Victorian and Edwardian architectural detail is all here, finely illustrated in careful detail. Not only a delight to the eye and the senses, The Universal Design Book is also a rich source of information for those devoted to the study of fine woodworking and architectural stained glass.
